Poker tonight at our place... I only have 8 chairs (and a big office chair that we can use). I think there are 12 peeps coming. If someone can bring three more that would be great. Also, need another table if someone can bring that. Scott will help bring that up to the condo for ya.

Post here so we don't end up with 15 extra chairs : )

Also, carpooling is cool as there aren't a ton of visiting spots here, but when you do park please be sure it's a "visitor parking" (marked) spot not a reserved or in front of someone's garage. They are spread out all over the complex.

17 Randolph Drive, first condo on the left when you turn in. Back door entrance. Ring buzzer and we MIGHT let you in : )

=============

EDIT!
All set.
Scott and I broke and bought a mattress the other day. I haven't had a good nights sleep in forever and I wake up every morning with lower back pain. Funny cuz when we did the sleep test (which is cooool) he noted that the lower part of my back slopes a lot so I need a firm mattress. We ended up with a nice pillow top one and it's going to be delivered next week already! yikes. Figured we'd take advantage of the Jordan's deal while it was out there, plus I have 6 months to pay for it.

So - we have a pretty okay queen sized mattress (with box spring) if anyone needs it. There's nothing really wrong with it. Just that we need something firmer. I bought it about 8-9 years ago? It's a Sealy. I was the only one that slept on it for most of those years - scott and I both for the last year. I used a mattress pad on it the whole time and there are NO body fluid stains on it : ) Yay for that.

Delivery is the 25th - we live in Tewksbury and Scott is here all day during the week if you want to pick it up. There's a small window of time to pick it up - pretty much the day they drop off the mattress... no earlier and no later.

My day was full of nothing, useless TV shows and failed attempts at projects around the condo.

I decided I was going to spray the ceiling vents, so I picked the vent near the sliding door and unscrewed it. Well one screw came out and the other... well it was errrr really really stuck. Couldn't find the cordless drill, so secided I didn't want to strip the nail head doing it manually so I went to put the other nail in. Not so hard right? Well the ridge thingies wouldn't grip back into the ceiling soooo now the vent is being held up by tape until I can get scott to help me. Yeah.

It's kinda hard to type this when my cat keeps licking the computer screen and sitting on the keyboard. Shoo!

Anywho. So then I decided to prepare the ceiling above the tub (which we left white, but I think should be yellow like the rest of the room). So I cleaned it and filled in some chips with puddy stuff and sanded it. Then I realized the paint is up in the attic and I'm too lazy to go up there and fish out the can in that stuffy hell. Grrr.

THEN I thought maybe I'll go to Lowes and try to get going on that wall in the dining room, but that was cut short when I realized I would need someone to help me move the wine server before I started to paint.

DAMNIT.

So I pretty much gave up.

I DID touch up the ceiling with some white paint where the wall color got on it (from when we painted WAY back in October... yeah late much?). Now when I look up I don't see color smudges and that makes me happy : )

I'm mad that I can't find my blue Saucony sneaks - did I give them away? Hmph. But I DID find these super sexy dressy heels that I forgot I had! weee. I have a lot of shoes. yeah. <3

Tomorrow I'm picking up my nephew and we are heading into Boston. First stop is my work to pick up tickets and then to the RedSox game. I HOPE the rain holds off or at least stops by the time the game starts. He is SO excited and even made a little sign to bring. He's so cute. I can't wait. Please rain stay AWAY! Damn rain.

Night night kids.... off to bed ... alone : ( WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Yeah wow... I have NO voice right now. Damn. Went to a family bbq at my parent's house. It was kind of a "housewarming" thing for the fam to see my parents new place. Just my dad's side (with the exception of my grandparents on my mom's side) it was a full house! Immediate family on my dad's side is like 40-50 people. Had a great time though. Damnit.

Scott seemed a little better with some rest. He was sleeping when I got home yesterday and managed to crawl out of bed and shower. Hung out a little watching TV and then we both pretty much just passed out. I woke up on the couch at 2am and Scott was in bed. So I turned everything off, checked to make sure he was still alive and camped out on the couch so I wouldn't catch any of his germs. The kitty slept with me pretty much the whole night. A little difficult seeing as the couch isn't realllly made to be slept on and fitting just me is a challenge in itself. Ah well. Got an okay sleep considering.

I'm hungry today and would kill for a bagel loaded with cream cheese. I'm going to have a simple dinner, go out shopping for new kicks, come home, shower, get stuff ready for tomorrow and then bed.

BAD BAD Stephanie! BAD!

And the peeling begins!!! It wouldn't be so bad, but it's RIGHT in the center of my back between my shoulder blades and it itches like HELL! And I can't even reach to put cream on it... have to wait until Scott gets home later. ::grumbles::

I made a joke last night that one day Scott will come home from work and find me on the kitchen floor in a giant puddle of lotion in desperation. Doesn't sound so bad right now actually!

I have the hungry horrors today... man. I only have fruit left for snacks.

Dinner out tonight. I somehow have to behave, I'll be good though, it's a steakhouse so it shouldn't be that hard. Sigh sigh sigh.

Today is a snoozer. I'm trying to enjoy it because the boss is back tomorrow and I'll be running around like a crazy woman.

My back is so goddamn itchy. Waaaaaaaa. I know I'm going to be shedding like a snake shortly. Just great. Hmph.

I've been craving chocolate cake.... like really rich chocolate cake with homemade chocolate frosting. Mmmm. I made that before for a dinner party we had, must make it again. ::nod::

Work has been chill so far. My boss is out of the office Monday - Wednesday, so that gives me some downtime as well as all the catching up that is necessary with this job. It's easy for stuff to be put on the backburner and forgotten about. You cannot miss a beat in this department or else you are in big doo doo.

Some company through Home Depot is coming to the condo tonight to take a look at our windows and give us a free estimate on how much it would cost us for new windows and installation. Definitely NOT doing work this year (no money), but it would be nice to know what we are in for. I only have 4 windows, so it should be THAT bad. Hopefully. The windows are major crap and are original to the condo. They are plastic and wood and are hard to open and the screens are the one piece kind and are NOT safe at all for the kitty - if you push on them they will just fall out... not good! This coming Saturday another company is coming to take a look at our bathroom. The tub most definitely needs to be replaced as it is old, brittle and the finish on it is completely gone and cleaning it is a bitch. I hate bath fitters! So that would be next year as well. I'd like to do tile all around the tub area... a new sink (pedestal!) and a new toilet..... all WHITE - none of that almond crap they have going on in there. YUCK.

Definitely not happening this year as I still need to pay Sears and Jordan's. Yay me.

Did I mention I'm itchy? grr.

So I decided to stay home tonight instead of either going to Crystal and Alex's or going to the mall to find a new pair of sneaks. I just feel really crappy because of the burn and I don't want to get dressed to go out at all. Very sad. VERY sad.

I just finished ironing threeeeeeeee outfits for the christening tomorrow. I want to be sure I'm prepared in case one outfit isn't comfortable on my back... I'm sure none of them will be. Plus the dress I planned to wear I really can't because the back is open at the top and i don't feel like people seeing my huge burn. hmph.

I'm still tired even though I took a 3 hour nap with scott earlier. ZZZzzz.

And there's a very leggy spider on the wall next to me. I'm going to pretend he isn't there and hope he goes away.. preferably away from me. If Cooper sees him he's a goner for sure!

Night

So I've been super super careful about protecting myself from the sun this year. But never in my life have I burned THIS MUCH. I feel the more I try, the worse it is - FAIL!!!!!

Went to the beach yesterday with my sister. Sunblocked up all over before I went out with the cream kind (I burned last time with the spray). So I go to the beach for ooooooh like 5 hours. Hang out, sit around, build sandcastles with the kids and bury the kids and make them into funny characters. So we leave and I have time before my eyebrow appointment and just hang out at my sister's house. I ask her to check my back because I feel it burning - RIGHT then it dawns on me that I never asked her to put the sunblock on my back (where I cannot reach obviously). SHIT - 5 hours in the sun and water with NO sunblock on my back.

Well needless to say Scott and I went out for some errands last night and I bought some aloe gel. My back was on fire. YOu could feel the heat coming off of it. Today it's a bit better, not as hot, but it feels like pins in my back.

We have a christening to go to and the dress I planned to wear is just not going to go too well. I rather not show everyone what a stupid ass I am. Even putting on a bra is just sounding not so good right now. Augh.

ASSHOLE.

Geez.

I've been into pears lately. Odd because usually I'm not a pear person at all, unless it's the Dole pear halves in the can - THOSE are good. I just enjoyed a yummy crunchy-not too soft pear (the brown ones - I forget the name). The green ones I don't really care for at all - too mushy. : P

MUST go to City Sports after work to get me some new sneaks. I have a coupon for 20% off, so I'll take advantage and get me some new kicks. I can feel it in my feet when I workout that the ones I have just are not cutting it anymore.

Speaking of sneakers.... I find it funny when I see people running in shoes that they just should not be. Back in the day at Gold's Gym (when I was a member), some girl was on the treadmill in platform sneakers and a couple of weeks ago I saw a young man running outside in skater sneaks. Way to go guys..... good way to mess up your knees!!!

Oh and of course one more rant. If you wear pinstriped pants, please please please do not pair it with a pretty polka-dot top.. it's just silly.

The end.
